What are the biggest challenges you've had to overcome in your career?

Challenges (big or small) are a part of growth in any aspect of your life. One of the biggest challenges I’ve had to overcome in my career is knowing how to overcome failure or when I've made a mistake. We often think that our value and self-worth is measured by how hard we work or how much work we put in. That when we fail there’s no room for improvement. There’s always room for improvement!

Feeling uncomfortable is another challenge we all face in our careers. Whether it be taking on a new position, public speaking or even having to fire someone who won’t consistently show up to work on time. Whenever I found myself stuck in an uncomfortable situation I knew there was always a way out, the only way out was to go through it. In the end, it made me a better person, and a better leader.

Accept yourself, your strengths, your weaknesses, your truths, and know what tools you have to fulfill your purpose.”

― Steve Maraboli,

What advice do you have for other women in business?

Don’t let patience be a forgotten virtue. Your aspirations and goals come with time. Pay your dues, eat up all the knowledge, and find ways to collaborate and support other businesses! What you put out in the world is what you get back. Remember that it’s not a loss if there’s a lesson to be learned.

“It is essential to have good tools, but it is also essential that the tools should be used in the right way.”

―Wallace D. Wattles.
